- Frequently Asked Questions
Any Questions?
Here are some of the questions we’re most regularly asked about the ventilation testing services we offer. If you have any other questions get in touch, we’d be happy to help.
What is ventilation testing?
Ventilation testing is the process of carrying out manual checks and diagnostic tests on your ventilation system to make sure it is working efficiently.
If there are any issues, you can then take action to fix them before they become major problems.
How do you test a ventilation system?
There are lots of different tests you can run. The right tests will depend on the ventilation system you have and the potential issues you are facing.
For example, if any fuel-burning appliances are attached to your ventilation system, we can run a flue gas analyser to detect dangerous levels of gases like carbon monoxide.
When should a ventilation test be carried out?
We recommend that testing be carried out as part of your planned preventative maintenance schedule.
However, if you identify signs that your ventilation system might have issues, like excess condensation, stale smells, or stuffy air, we recommend carrying out testing to determine the cause of the problem.
How long does a ventilation test take?
It depends on the size of your building and the complexity of your ventilation system. In our experience it can take anything from two hours to multiple days.
However, when you carry out testing with us, our engineers will ensure minimal disturbance to your building, carrying out testing at a time convenient to you.
Do you carry out in-house commissioning?
Yes, we can test your new or upgraded ventilation system to make sure it meets design specifications and complies with Building Regulations.
Are you also able to assist with any mechanical requirements?
Yes, absolutely! We can provide mechanical services as part of our installations, including but not limited to; LPHW, Chilled Water, 2 & 4 Pipe Systems, Chilled Beams and VRF/VRV/DX AC systems.
